....and the boat is just as cold!
A rather short post for you this time around, a post to fill the gap before I start reminiscing about our weekend away to Brussels and our holiday in the sunny Sorrento back in September. Both will be thrilling posts, I promise you!
But this post, this post will be rather fitting to the recent icy conditions we've had in Norfolk. As the weather has been getting colder and my sinuses getting increasingly more blocked up, me and my partner decided that instead of freezing our butts off on the boat this winter, we would in fact freeze our butts off in a house instead. Thank you very much cost of living crisis! Joking aside, we made the decision to only visit the boat once or twice a week and stay overnight a bit less, which leads me to how this post came about.
As the weather had dropped to -6, I decided to use the day to come and check on the boat to make sure that everything was ready for my boat safety certificate that needs renewing in January. Instead of actually doing this, I decided to take some pretty pictures of the beautiful frost down at the marina. The weather was so cold, that the river had frozen and everything looked, well, magical really!
Please enjoy some images I took down at the marina that day. This little burst of creativity made me realise just how much I love photography, there's nothing better than freezing your tits off to get the perfect photo.
That's it this time around but I will leave you with a music recommendation to tickle your ears. As Christmas is only a few weeks away, please enjoy one of my favourite Christmas songs by the wonderful Marika Hackman, this is Driving Under Stars
